Cosmetology Course
The state law regulation are sanitation and safety standards by the state board must be clean and sanitary at all times when students are working in the school, shop, salon or master barber facilities. These rules are set forth by federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations as they apply to business operations and maintenance. The solution must be an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registered disinfected that is bactericidal, virucidal and fungicidal. Professional ethics includes students must follow all state law and regulation.

The total length of the program will be eight weeks of training students to continue to practice assignments and testing for licensure. The sample evaluation methods to be used are to evaluate student grading and progress report purposes. Breakdown of hours and/or performance for all courses to be taught which lead to licensure will be from 9am-12pm in the classroom for theory work; from 12pm-1pm will be the lunch break; then 1pm to 5pm they will be on the floor plan procedure working on demo and mannequin work. Students will perform cosmetology regulations of hair and scalp treatment, track each student’s completion of the required floor clinic. The school will have a floor plan, physical location, classroom and clinic areas within the school from the school’s plan. We can work together to ensure your future as a fully trained and competent Cosmetologist is achieved. We will help by providing the environment for learning.
This training is for advanced and beginners. In addition, we prepare you for the cosmetology license exam. We also have a full salon service.

Our Cosmetology School offers the Cosmetology Course, which is a 1,000-hour program consisting of training in topics, such as hair-cutting, hair styling, permanent waving, chemical relaxing, hair coloring, bleaching, scalp treatments.

Barber Training
Training Name: Barber
Program Length: 1100 hours
Program Level: Diploma
The purpose of the Barber program is to prepare students for state licensing and employment. The courses include the required. education from the Virginia Barbers’ Board. The program consists of 900 hours which includes a combination of theoretical and practical applications. The courses include but are not limited to safe and efficient work practices, human relations and employability skills, Virginia barber laws and rules, knowledge of barbering and its relation to chemistry, bacteriology, haircutting, and the development of practical skills in performing the manipulative techniques required in the practice of barbering.
Nails Training
Training Name: Nails
Program Length: 150 hours
Program Level: Diploma
This program is designed to teach students the art and science of beautifying the nails of the hands and feet, to give a professional hand and foot massage, and to use safety precautions and sanitation methods.
Students will learn to identify diseases and disorders of the nails. Nail Extensions, Nail Wraps, Gel Nails and Nail Art will be Included, along with current information on infection control.

You will complete your theory in your own time via an online learning portal. Your practical will be completed face to face with an educator at a Capital store on a pre-booked date of your choice.
